Privacy Policy

Effective August 3, 2026

PawsGo helps people record and understand their dogs' walks. This policy explains what information PawsGo handles, why we handle it, and the choices available to you.

Information we handle

Account and sign-in. When you create an account, PawsGo uses Supabase Auth to handle your email address and authentication information. If you use Google sign-in, Google may provide your name, email address, and profile image according to the permissions shown during sign-in.

Owner and dog profiles. We handle your display name, dog names, descriptions, sex, breed, age, goals, profile visibility, share codes, ownership links, and dog icons. Dog icons may be stored in Supabase Storage so they can appear on your devices and in permitted shared views.

Walk summaries. PawsGo may sync walk summaries such as the dogs included, start and end times, duration, distance, walk type, and activity totals. Linked owners may see summary information for a shared dog. Public dog profiles may appear on the Global Walk Board when the profile owner enables that setting.

Detailed route and activity data. In the current MVP, detailed GPS points and detailed poop-event locations are kept on the device for local route display and are not uploaded as raw point streams to Supabase. Deleting the app or clearing its local data removes local-only data according to your device's storage behavior.

Location services. PawsGo requests location access to record a walk. Background location is used only after you start a walk and only to continue that active walk when the screen is off or you switch apps. You can stop the walk or revoke location permission in your device settings.

Maps. When a map is displayed, Google Maps may receive map tile, viewport, and map-service requests from the device. Those requests are handled under Google's policies and are separate from PawsGo's Supabase data storage.

Support and technical information. If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to include. The app may also process basic technical information needed to authenticate, sync, troubleshoot, and protect the service.

How we use information

When information is shared

We use service providers that help operate PawsGo, including Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and server functions, and Google Maps for map display. We do not sell your personal information.

When you link a dog or enable a public profile, information is shared according to those features. Private GPS route details are not automatically shared with linked owners through the cloud.

Retention and deletion

You can delete your PawsGo account from the app under Account > Help & Support > Delete account. You can also begin deletion from our public account deletion page. Account deletion removes your Supabase account and associated cloud data we control, including owned dog profiles and walks recorded by you. A dog owned by another person remains with that owner; its linked view is removed from your pack.

Some limited information may be retained where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or reliable operation. Local-only data is controlled by your device and can be removed by clearing app data or uninstalling PawsGo.

Security

We use authenticated access controls and service-provider security features to protect cloud data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please protect your device and sign-in credentials.

Children

PawsGo is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as PawsGo changes. The effective date above will change when we publish a revised version.
